All of my employees today: angst. Angst. ANGST. ANGST! ANGST!!!!!!
Me: *bursts into flames* SHUT UP!
I swear, this is just getting too stupid. As fond as I am of looking back at my own late-teens/early-twenties self and thinking, “Gee, I sure wasn’t an idiot!”, I can only do it so frequently before it stops being fun and starts to really annoy me. My employees need to grow up.
And, as much as I’d like to punish them for all this dumb that they’re bringing into the theatre with them, they’re not technically doing anything that qualifies for punishment…just annoying me with their whining. *sighs*
Auto insurance still isn’t ready to settle, either, so I was cross all day. Calling them again tomorrow. And every day. Until I get my money. Because I just want it to be over.

Teens will be teens. I’m still at odds when a few years ago one of them came up to me complaining that I had my feet on one of the seats ahead of me. I argued there was no one else in the theater. The guy said it’s common courtesy to respect theater property. Suddenly I felt two feet tall. It depends on the teen. Some don’t know what they’re doing at that age, but this guy totally knew what he was doing, and even though I didn’t like it, he was right.
Good luck with the insurance. Awful…

That sort of thing I have no problem dealing with…I tell our guests off pretty regularly for stuff like that. The problems I’m having lately are more with our employees bringing drama into work with them and it disrupting how things are supposed to go.

Do they have a reason why they are delaying so much? Also, it seems like there’s got to be some kind of advisory board you can go to about this. Something cheaper than taking them to court.

Yeah: because they’re dumbasses. I spoke with them yesterday and I’ll be calling them again after the long weekend is over.
